What's happening as we move into 2025.

What's happening as we move into 2025.

The Treasure Chest is a local family business that started as an event management and vintage décor hire company in July 2022 in Portugal. But before we could really take-off in Lagos (Algarve), serious health issues of one of the founders, delayed the planned start-up operations by nearly two years.

This serious health set-back, meant that a total refocusing and redesign of the business model was required. The new business model saw us moving away from events management into a buying and selling of antiques and vintage items via primarily online sales.

We are now busy entering the final stages of implementation of the new business model, with the intent to be fully functional and operational in the first quarter of 2025.

We will be supplying vintage and antique goods globally through our own website, and our online shops on Etsy and Ebay, as well as via our presence on Facebook and Instagram.

During the past two years we have built a network of sourcing suppliers dotted throughout Europe and other international countries who help us with finding the items we require. We are confident that we will be able to consistently offer, maintain and build one of the largest, individual inventories of vintage and collectables items available in the Algarve.

We already have well over ten thousand items in our physical store and warehouse in Lagos, all in hand and ready to be dispatched fast, fully tracked and completely covered for transit loss and transit damage.

Moving forward, we will be in a position to supply both private customers as well as commercial operations which include hotel chains, B&B’s, event & wedding planners, film studio’s, interior designers, photographers, etc. with antique or vintage items they may require, and if we don't have them, we will search for it via our supplier and finders newtork.

Although the Treasure Chest as a business is new, the founders are well known and respected across the Algarve. This means that we are not unknown, and that you can purchase from us with confidence as we have a reputation to maintain. The facts are than when buying from us you are buying from one family business not multiples or subsidiaries of impersonal corporate outfits. We thrive on customer service, this means that as the owners, we will let you know which one of us will take care of your order, be it answering your questions, to packing and tracking and making sure it reaches you speedily and safely.

We understand that shopping online is difficult and may be challenging, as you will not be able to inspect it yourself, the see, touch and feel that is missed when using online sales. However if you in the south of Portugal in the Algarve, you will be able to visit our showroom in Lagos to buy directly or to collect your online order.

As we progress down our path, it would be great to connect with you via Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn so that you can keep informed about our latest business developments, promotions, travels and finds.

In the meantime, we recommend that you check-up our shop policies here. See the answers to some frequently asked questions (FAQ’s) by clicking here. See information on postage & tracking here. As well as keep informed about the implementation a range of other related services that we will be introducing over time.

We speak English, Afrikaans and Portuguese, if you would like to contact us, ask questions or provide us with much appreciated feedback, just get in touch, we will be delighted to hear from you.

Thanks for dropping by!
